Troy Police looking for whoever stole from a donation jar at local shoe store — Peekskill Business news

TROY, NY (WNYT) Troy Police said they are investigating an incident where money was stolen from a donation jar at the Troy Quick Shoe Repairing store in downtown Troy. NewsChannel 13 spoke with the owner of the store Dan Shongar, who said the person who stole the money was a customer. I gave him his shoes. There was a little scratch on it or something, so I went back to touch it up, and when I was back there, he went in and took the money. When I came out, he just grabbed the shoes and said thanks and left, Dan said. Dan said he didn t even notice anything was stolen from the jar till about an hour after. I noticed a jar full in the morning, and then I walked by it, and I looked at it, and it was empty, so I figured somebody must have stolen something out of it. And I went back and looked at my videotape and discovered that somebody did, said Dan. Troy Police said the theft was reported to them on October 9th, and they have yet to make any arrests in the case. Po
